Becky brings more than 15 years of experience making complex systems work for real people. She currently serves as a Research Application Support Specialist at the University of Pittsburgh, where she supports a REDCap environment of 20,000+ active projects and leads initiatives at the intersection of health IT, IRB compliance, and research training.
But her work doesn't stop at the institution's edge. Becky teaches AI literacy to older adults through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, trains healthcare teams on the systems that shape patient care, and builds bridges between clinical technology and the communities it's meant to serve.
Her approach is grounded in something simple: the people who most need access to good health technology are often the ones least equipped to navigate it. That belief drives everything she does.
Supporting clinical and research technology from IRB submission through go-live — with a focus on regulatory alignment, user experience, and system integrity. Deep expertise in REDCap, eConsent, HIPAA, and 21 CFR Part 11.
Teaching non-technical audiences — from older adults to healthcare staff — to understand and use AI tools confidently. Founder of Everyday AI Learning, offering jargon-free AI training for community organizations and healthcare teams.
